This article presents a reflection on children’s attachment in the context of their relationship with childcare professionals. We focus on the specific relationship between preschoolers (3-5 years old) and their nursery workers. For this, we identified difficulties nursery workers may have in providing secure responses to the child’s attachment needs. The causes behind those difficulties were assessed through observations and interviews with the nursery’s workers and managers. This article finally presents the content of an introductory session on attachment addressed toward nursery workers and managers.
