that is being constructed with the representations of a world that
is disappearing. This world in reinforced concrete seemed to be as
indestructible as the Maginot line at the beginning of the Second
World War. In both cases, we were disillusioned, since our
beliefs turned out to be totally inappropriate in relation to the
situation. The illnesses of the Anthropocene era highlight the
obsolescence of categories of thought and action based on the norms
of thermos-industrial societies. Today, we must restore humanism or
accept that, like Icarus, we will perish from our machinal
conquests which are all defeats of our humanity. We must renew the
humanistic language of the solidarity movements organized by the
concept of “social debt”.

life in the diets originating) does not quite superimpose itself on
the manifest caesura of the event of the physical birth. In a
certain way the birth to the psychic life precedes this measure, as
in other aspects and on other levels it follows from it and
prolongs or succeeds it (sometimes in a way far removed from the
actual birth certificate). We stop in this article about this gap,
this “tension”, and this difference … But also on the process
itself and the peculiarities of functioning (between body and
psyche and between intrapsychic and intersubjective) of the regimes
of primary symbolisation, of emergence of the subject as of the
psychic matter itself-even from the thickening of the Self in the
pulsational trajectory, and thus from the birth modalities to the
psychic life. Perhaps more fundamentally we try to show here (going
back on and beyond the notion of «birth trauma» dear to O. Rank) on
the traumatic economy of psychic birth, as much as on the economic
and traumatic valence of the functions originating from the side of
the birth of the subject, in his double connection to the body and
the psyche (of the other).

representations. It is what cannot be said because it is

The very process itself of addiction then reinforces this erasure

psychotherapy opens a space where one’s own thoughts can unfold.
This approach uses the countertransference dynamic to search for
traces of a buried psychic life and give it a right of citizenship.
It involves the therapist’s words to open the way to the patient’s

settings, including family courts, but misunderstandings are
widespread and sometimes result in misapplications. The aim of this
consensus statement is, therefore, to enhance understanding,
counter misinformation, and steer family-court utilization of
attachment theory in a supportive, evidence-based direction,
especially with regard to child protection and child custody
decision-making. The article is divided into two parts. In the
first, we address problems related to the use of attachment theory
and research in family courts, and discuss reasons for these
problems. To this end, we examine family court applications of
attachment theory in the current context of the
best-interest-of-the-child standard, discuss misunderstandings
regarding attachment theory, and identify factors that have
hindered accurate implementation. In the second part, we provide
recommendations for the application of attachment theory and
research. To this end, we set out three attachment
principles : the child’s need for familiar, non-abusive
caregivers ; the value of continuity of good-enough
care ; and the benefits of networks of attachment
relationships. We also discuss the suitability of assessments of
attachment quality and caregiving behavior to inform family court
decision-making. We conclude that assessments of caregiver behavior
should take center stage. Although there is dissensus among us
regarding the use of assessments of attachment quality to inform
child custody and child-protection decisions, such assessments are
currently most suitable for targeting and directing supportive
interventions. Finally, we provide directions to guide future

the logical protest of the subject expressed in symptoms such that
it led to the invention of psychoanalysis to receive it. The
current health crisis reveals the extent to which the capitalist
discourse hones its aggression against this resistance of the

This article is inspired by the experience and practice of
discussion groups with adolescents: if we want to support them in
their efforts to think about their own sexuality, it is important
to free ourselves of the position of “T”ruth that underpins every
discourse on sex and sexuality, whether scientific or ethical. It
is possible to draw on what could be called the adolescent sexual
theories to make the effort of thinking and discussion possible.
Prevention is inconceivable without a space of confrontation and
elaboration with such theories, and it is precisely the process of
being listened to by benevolent adults that enables adolescents to
face up to the enigmas of their sexuality.

“My baby is not eating well” is a frequent motive for seeking a
consultation in pediatrics as in child psychiatry. In
psychomotricity, it seems essential to us therefore to observe a
meal and to evaluate the baby’s sensory motor skills. It is also
necessary to refine our understanding of the means of support and
regulation offered by the baby’s immediate environment. Exploration
of the mouth, the discovery of sensations, along with fine motor
skills, are inseparable from the postural and relational support
provided by close relations. Clinically, it is sometimes
difficulties of tuning that are most evident in the dyad.
Sometimes, it is sensory-motor difficulties that disturb the
parental adjustments, mouthing behaviour, and, in short, the baby’s
bodily organization. In both cases, the issue at stake, in
psychomotricity, is above all, to discover with the parent how they
can tackle their child’s difficulties head on in order to give them
the support they need to approach meals with more pleasure.

accompanying kit, in order to promote a more inclusive school and
consolidate inclusion approaches for young disabled children in
ordinary school. In the following pages, the authors present the
first phase of this educational project aimed at promoting the
inclusion of children with special needs in ordinary school. After
introducing the concept of inclusive school and specifying some
elements that characterize the development of the chosen age, we
will present the project and the kit that supports it. We
hypothesize that if children are supported from a very young age in
the discovery of their relational resources, inclusion policies
will be more successful.

The diagnostic category “Neuro-developmental disorders” will soon
enter the ICD-11. Where it comes from, what it means, what its
purpose is, and what direct and side effects its existence
produces? Our considerations are based on the definition of neural
development and its connections with psychopathology. The semantic
justification of this category is discussed as well as the
scientific justification within the context of the scientific
knowledge achieved. The importance placed on neuronal substrate of
mental and psychopathological phenomena has a history marked by a
more or less complex understanding of their mutual causal relations
and by more or less “independent” paths of research in both
epistemic domains. The context through which “neuro-developmental
disorders” became a diagnostic category is questioned, the answer
coming by reflecting both on the consequences of the struggle
between scientific “chapels” and on economic, political and
marketing influences. This helps to explicit the noetic and
socio-technic context of the birth of an impoverishing conception
of the human and childhood.
