Parental burn-out

| May 26, 2023 | 93 minutes
In collaboration with De Boeck Supérieur

Presentation

It's estimated today that around 5% of parents suffer from parental burn-out, crushed by the pressure to have a happy child at all costs. How is parental burn-out different from professional burn-out or other forms of depression or exhaustion? What are the risk factors and consequences for the parent, children and partner? How can it be spotted, diagnosed, but also managed, whether in individual consultation or group therapy?

Author

We invite you to explore these issues in greater depth with Moïra Mikolajczak, Professor of Medical and Health Psychology and Director of Research, Institute for Research in Psychological Sciences, Catholic University of Leuven (https://www.burnoutparental.com)
