About
A university professor, he was director of CREDOC from 1978 to 1984, then of the Centre de recherche sur l'épargne (CREP) from 1984 to 2002. From 1998 to 2001, he chaired the Comité consultatif des taux réglementés (Advisory Committee on Regulated Rates), reporting to the Minister of the Economy and Finance. His work has focused on household behavior.
