He is the author of numerous books, including Place and Politics: The Geographical Mediation of State and Society (Allen & Unwin, 1987), Mastering Space (Routledge, 1995, with Stuart Corbridge), Globalization and Sovereignty (Rowman & Littlefield, 2009).
