Professor at George Washington University (Washington, D.C., USA), where she directs the Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (IERES) and co-directs the PONARS-Eurasia program. Since January 2019, she has been an associate researcher at the Russia/NEI Center of the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI, France).
