Maud Simonet is a research director in sociology at the CNRS at IDHES (UMR 8533). Her research, conducted in France and/or the United States, focuses on volunteer work, workfare, and activation, and more broadly on the processes by which labor is rendered invisible and on contemporary forms and issues surrounding unpaid labor.
